Bee Well: Support National Pollinator Week

Bee well, bee busy

We’re bee fans here at Well Balanced, so it seems very fitting that we celebrate our opening during the fourth annual National Pollinator Week: June 21-27. (Look what’s going on at pollinator.org.) This bee busy pollinatingnational focus a significant step toward addressing the urgent issue of declining pollinator populations, due to factors such as chemical spraying, disease, and loss of open wilderness areas.

There are few foods as good for you as honey (royal jelly, maybe, but that’s made by Mr. Bee, too), and everyone knows bees make honey-  but what many don’t realize is that bees are in danger and their numbers are declining rapidly. If bees and their honey are in danger, so are we, since the entire human food chain depends on pollination.

The bee is our WB buddy. Look for the bee on all our graphics. We like this little guy Bee well balancedbecause he’s diligent, he makes amazing food, and oddly- he’s fuzzy and carries an electrostatic charge that makes the pollen stick to him so he can get more done. At Well Balanced, we love the ‘body electric’! Yay bees!
